Vaccinations, Terms & Conditions

All dogs attending daycare or boarding must be in good health, have not been sick with any communicable diseases or parasites in the last 15 days, and have not displayed aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or other dog(s).

Updated May 2026 Vaccination Requirements – please read carefully!

Titer Clinic Testing as an Alternative to Annual Vaccinations

For adult dogs who have proof of vaccination as puppies including required boosters, we will accept Titer Clinic testing for Distemper and Parvo virus antibody presence. If the testing shows adequate protection, we will follow the retesting schedule recommended by your veterinarian as expiration of your dog’s vaccinations.

Bordetella is required as an annual vaccination to attend daycare or boarding. It is recommended that the vaccination be done every 6 months to boost immunity.

Rabies is recommended by most veterinarians; however, we do not require mandatory vaccination to attend daycare or boarding.

Leptospirosis is recommended by many veterinarians, however currently we do not require mandatory vaccination to attend daycare or boarding. If our daycare programming changes and we add hikes and/or off leash walks to the daily programs, where potential exposure to contaminated soil or water may occur, we will re-address our vaccination policy and advise all current clients accordingly.

Puppies

  • Must have all DHP/DAP/DAPP including boosters before attending daycare. Please allow for two weeks after the last booster to book your dog for daycare.

Adult Dogs

  • We accept titer antibody testing along with proof of initial vaccinations for adult dog vaccinations. Re-testing timelines will be at the recommendation of your veterinarian. We will use the recommended retesting dates as expiration of the vaccinations for your dog’s health records.

Kennel Cough

It is our recommendation that daycare dogs be immunized with Bordetella every 6 months. It is mandatory for vaccination annually to attend daycare or boarding as preventative maintenance. Kennel cough is highly contagious upper respiratory virus. There are approximately 7 strains of kennel cough and the Bordetella vaccine does not protect against all strains. Kennel cough can lead to congestion, nasal discharge, upset stomachs, diarrhea, vomiting and lethargy. In rare complex strain cases it can develop into pneumonia. Kennel cough is transmitted primarily with sneezing, air borne droplets and nose touching. We cannot keep dogs from physical contact in daycare as they play, wrestle and sleep together. Kennel cough can be contracted at a in a dog park, on a dog walk where your dog touches his nose to a pole that an infected dog just touched, having a dog in your backyard with your own dog, it can be carried on our shoes, and it can be contracted environmentally. When dogs in daycare exhibit signs of kennel cough, it was originally brought into the facility by a dog from a dog-to-dog contact/exposure or an environmental exposure outside of daycare. We take every precaution and have a strict cleaning protocol to prevent spread or contamination. If your dog shows any signs of cough, yack, sneezing, upper respiratory issues such as nasal discharge or lethargy/diarrhea or vomiting, backwards sneezing DO NOT bring your dog to daycare If your dog is boarding and shows symptoms, the dog will be segregated from other dogs for the duration of the stay to prevent potential spread of the virus.
